Marriage Counseling in Riga
English marriage counseling at Čaka iela 83/85, Riga, or by video. Eva Ratfeldere (psychotherapist) and Peter Clark (relationship coach) sit with you for two hours. This is a booked room in the Centre, not a walk-in clinic.
Who this work is for
Marriage counseling here is English-language work for spouses who want a structured space to talk, not a lecture. Couples in Riga often arrive after the same fight, after a breach of trust, or when a move, a visa, or distance from both families has stretched the marriage thin.
You do not need to be in crisis. Some married couples book because they want better habits before resentment hardens. Sessions are 2 hours so both of you can speak without being cut off at 50 minutes. If the main stuck point is how you talk, see couples communication therapy in Riga. If two cultures sit in the same kitchen, see cross-cultural couples therapy in Riga.
Typical themes
- Talk that turns into the same argument
- Trust and closeness after a rupture
- Money, parenting, or in-laws
- A move, a visa, or a new job
- One partner feels unheard
- Cross-cultural family pressure

How a session is shaped
The first meeting is 90 minutes: history of the marriage, what each of you wants, and whether this format fits. Ongoing sessions are 2 hours. Eva holds the clinical frame. Peter asks clarifying questions and keeps both of you in the room. He is not a psychotherapist.
First meeting (90 minutes)
We map the marriage, the current stuck points, and a plan you can both live with.
Regular sessions (2 hours)
You practise how you talk, not only describe it. There is time for both voices.
Between sessions
You leave with something concrete to try at home. Length of the work is agreed, not promised as a formula.
